South Africa
South Africa was discovered by Bantus when they expanded from the north.About 200 years ago.
1806 the british exploer came to South Africa and occupied the lape of good hope and expaned from there bigger and bigger areas and brought a large group of settlers to colonies the new won country. In 1887 was the first diamond found at orange river and in 1885 was gold discovered in the Trannsvaal.1849-1902 started the boer war because the conflcts between Boers and British about the gold and diamonds.
1910 the two white populations formed the union of Soth Africa.Two years later, the black pepole of South Africa formed the ANC, The African Nationalist congress.The purpes of the ANC was to fight for the black majority`s right`s, Which tahey didn`t have. The leader of the ANC was Nelson Mandela.But he was arrested in 1962 and were realesed 1990.In the 80:s the president of South Africa started to hegotiating with the ANC and started, bit by bit to change tothe aparthied system and 1991 the aparthied system was no longer existing.
1994 was the first multiracial, democratic election held in South Africa.
South Africa is a land with many diffrent kind of races.There are about 30 million inhabitants. About 10 milion of population lives on the east coast an din the Southern part of the cape province.1991 was the different races divided in 4 diffrent groups, Agricans or blacks ( 75 % ), whites ( 14 % ), mixed races ( 8,5 % ) and about 2,5 % Asians. Southern Africa has a very warm climate whit an average temperature in Pretoria is 28,8 ºc in january.
